Blog Post #2: Veritas Guitars

I chose to talk about Veritas Guitars this week. Veritas Guitars is a guitar company based in Vancouver, Washington. They make high-end boutique guitars that are currently in high demand. People are in love with the tonal varieties their guitars offer. People can also have their guitars custom built to the customer's specs.

The company's value proposition is to offer beautiful high-end instruments to guitarists. They take core elements of classic guitars and give them a modern twist. Every guitar is deeply crafted to the customer's specific requests.

I checked the company's Facebook reviews to see what people were saying. Most people commented that they loved the attention to detail on their guitars. Their colors and finishes are all flawless. Most customers love how the guitars can cover multiple genres of music as well. The only reasons the company doesn't have a perfect five stars on Facebook is due to three people rating it four stars, and they never said why they rated it four stars.

As I said earlier, the company sells high end custom built guitars. They make many guitar models, but their most popular model is the "Portlander" guitar. The model was so popular that they decided to make a budget version for around $1,000.

The company has around 7,000 likes on Facebook, but their Instagram has almost 48,000 followers. They also post live videos and ads on Instagram. One of the challenges the company faces is the growing number of custom guitar companies. The market is starting to become saturated.

If I was the brand manager, I would try to market the budget Portlander guitars more. I know the company is taking custom orders for budget guitars, but they don't market them very much. I would also consider making budget versions of some of their guitars. They are in high demand, so they should consider diversifying the ranges of their instruments.

I learned that Veritas Guitars has a pretty good presence on Instagram. They don't have as many followers as major companies like Gibson, Fender, or PRS. They do have more followers than a few other boutique guitar companies like Shelton Electric Instruments and Elliott Guitars. I also learned that the Portlander model is the most popular model that they have to offer.
